Representatives from VA Linux Corporation will discuss it's VACM product (pronounced Va-cuum). VACM is an integrated suite of scalable remote management and monitoring tools for administering clusters or large install bases of servers. VACM's back end is modular in architecture, which allows it to use many different management and monitoring technologies. The front end is also modular and can be integrated into a variety of environments without impacting existing management and monitoring policies. Although VACM was originally targeted for Linux-based scientific clusters, it is also suitable for ISPs, ISVs and other large server installations.
