Dr. Richard Anderson will discuss the map, sort and grep
functions of the Perl programming language. These powerful functions enable
programmers to accomplish tasks that would require an entire subroutine in
other languages using one or two lines of Perl. The famous Schwartzian
transform will be discussed.
Presentation notesGeorge Myers, Director of Continuing Education at Seattle Pacific University, will discuss the new Linux systems administration certification program.
There will also be a raffle of a conference pass, worth $995, to the iDevelop 2000 Seattle conference, September 19-20, sponsored by Sun, Hewlett Packard, Intel and Oracle.
